It's that time of year again. The time when our State Legislators come to Annapolis for 3 months to bat bills back and forth across the State House. And it is also the time the real estate Legislative Committee's, both State and Counties, come alive. Being ever so watchful over what can or could affect homeowners. This also includes landlords, tenants, and small business which includes us real estate agents. Today was the day the Legislators allow us to meet with them face to face and in their offices.
It was great walking the halls of the Senate and Legislative Buildings and making a difference in the real estate landscape. Stormwater fees (Rain tax as some call it) has some 14 different bills on the floor this year. Some are exactly alike and others extremely different. And that is just one of hundreds of issues facing this session.
As both a homeowner and a small business owner, what happens on the floor of the State House affects me as hard as it does you. I am not exempt from the good and the bad.
I must say it is going to be an awesome and interesting next 2 months.
