VIN 909- A Wonderful Dining Experience

I met a friend for lunch the other day at a restaurant located on the Eastport side of Annapolis called VIN 909. Since I had never been there before I was looking forward to exploring and tasting what this restaurant was all about.

VIN 909

Located in a Sears Roebuck built home, VIN 909 has a delightful ambiance from the moment your eyes rest upon it. The gardens leading to the front porch are fabulous with an array of beauties in bloom. Once inside you are greeted by a wonderful wine bar and attentive servers. Even though they have a patio serving area in the back of the restaurant we decided to eat inside where the air conditioning felt delightful.

VIN 909 was inspiring indeed with a menu so fresh and new it was hard to choose. Brick oven pizzas served with incredible combinations that melt in your mouth. My friend and I split one fabulous pizza along with a salad and we each had a glass of the wine special  of the day. Oh I mustn't forget the decadent chocolate dessert we shared as well. It was to die for.

VIN 909 proudly works and lives to protect the environment and because of their dedication to reduce their carbon footprint have earned the Annapolis Environmental  Stewardship Certification. All food, if at all possible, is bought locally and grown organically. They believe in supporting small business.

By the way, come early as they do not take reservations but do not fear,
if there is a wait, you can relax with a glass of wine in the yard, front porch or fireplace lounge.

What a wonderful discovery, Martha.  I never even heard of this restaurant.  Sounds like I need to add VIN 909 to my "must try" list.

Margaret- It was a delightful place indeed. It took over the space the Wild Orchard had been located in. If you wnat to meet for lunch there one day let me know!

Martha, that is one good looking pizza! Annapolis is such a great place. A commercial real estate orgainization I belong to had their annual meeting in Annapolis last year. We went on a Schooner ride up to the bridge and back. Annapolis is a great city and VIN 909 looks like it is right up there for a must see place to eat.

Martha:  This sounds like such a great place to eat.  AND... that brick-oven pizza looks so delicious, I hurt my knuckles on my monitor screen trying to reach into the screen to grab the pizza... LOL

By the way... I looked at your blog.  Very nice, and I really liked the title...

Oh Micheal it WAS a delicious pizza for sure! What fun for you to be able to take a schooner ride out in the Severn River. There is just something magical about being on the water around here. Next time in town give me a call. We will go to VIN 909.

Karen Anne- It was a delight and I will certainly be going back and you are toooooo funny about the pizza. LOL Thanks for taking a look at my website. As everything involving the internet it is a work in progress. :0)
