Crofton is one of those ideally situated communities nestled in the Annapolis, Washington and Baltimore triangle. Offering treed line streets, golf, swimming, tennis, community events and close by shopping, Crofton is a sought after community to call home in and around Annapolis.

So whats happening in the Crofton marketplace? Ahh seems the winter market has hit Crofton with sales being at the January 2012 levels. Inventory levels have decreased by 24% yet closing credit by Seller to Buyer remains strong in the Crofton detached home market. Median credit amount is $15,000. Detached Crofton homes are selling, on average, for 94.74% of asking price which is down from 96.03% in August. Even though inventory is down the months of inventory has risen due to the decrease in sales.
 
The attached or townhouse/condo market has  the winter doldrums as well with a 50% decrease in previous months sales yet in que with 2011 sales. Inventory rose by 12%. The number of homes under contract decreased as well as the number of homes under contract being a short sale. Closing credit from Seller to Buyer rose with 10 of the 12 sales having assistance. The median amount being $5,000. Townhouses and condos, on average, are selling for 96.51% of their asking price which is a strong finish. Months of inventory is on the rise.
