Small Annapolis Marina For Sale- Where Fishing Stories Are Born

Small Annapolis MarinaIt's not very often that a small marina comes on the market in the Annapolis market place so when one does it's definitely something to look into. That's exactly what I did a few days ago at Joyce Marina in Crownsville.

Like may marinas around the edges of Annapolis you probably would never know they were there if it was not for word of mouth. Tucked in deep coves or off in a corner of a river inside a community these small marinas do not do repairs though this one does have a small workshop for ones convenience, do not have gas pumps, nor boat lifts nor supplies. What they do offer is the unforgettable friendships built over time between boat owners and the marina owner.

clenaing stationJoyce's Marina has 15 boat slips with electric and water and an average water depth of 6+ feet per slip. Perfect for that weekend or retired fisherman to keep his/her boat and then hang out and talk about their catch afterwards. It even has a cleaning station available for the catch of the day. For those with small boats there is a boat ramp and.... the best part, I think, is that this marina has a Boat House. Ahhhh I can hear the stories of the ones that got away right now being shared winter or summer.

Since this is a small marina tucked along the shores of a neighborhood it also comes with a  home that overlooks the marina and the river. 2 decks with views to forever is certainly a bonus that goes with this awesome opportunity.

boat houseAs a born and raised Annapolitan of more years than I care to count this marina brings back memories of a simpler life along the rivers of Annapolis. Of a life where friendships were born along the rivers edge without all the pomp and glory of today. Just a fisherman and his boat sharing stories with his/her cronies.

Hi Martha,  That sounds like a rare opportunity in your area.  Just think of the hours of fun this marina will provide for many families.

Exactly Belinda. If I was younger I would be seriously considering calling this home. :)

Martha  Now that is what I call a "to die for" listing.  I, too, would consider it if I was younger

Martha, what a fun place to live and have fun!  And I'll bet this place has inspired a whole lot of fish stories over the years.

Martha, you live in a stunning area too...it has been a long time since I have been there...love that someone can still own a small marina...best of luck with getting it sold!

Martha, count me among the wanna-be's.  If only the calendar could reverse itself thirty years . . . oh, well, dreaming is fun.  Love any marina, but Annaloplis is magical location.

PS  Saw your snow picture on FB earlier.  Beauty in the storm.
