Funny how you can go years and not need a specific service provider and then something takes place and you not only need this person, you need the best. That is what happened to me a few days ago. I needed a structural engineer. A problem arose from a home inspection and for everyone to feel warm and fuzzy we needed this crack checked in the floor and wall.
My contact from years ago had retired so I put in a request for an ALL CALL (email) in all 3 Annapolis Long & Fosters offices. I also asked my buddies from my old office in Crofton. With that done I waited for the names to pour in. Boy was I fooled.
Every agent who responded gave me the same name. The exact same name and regards. Wow... This guy had to be amazing so I called immediately.
He answered his phone and was very cordial and unflappable. He would be happy to meet me there and see what the concern was. He wanted a copy of the home inspection so that he could address exactly what the inspector said and so we made an appointment to meet.
He came on time, with a calm demeanor and his tools of trade in hand. He made notes, discussed what he saw and left with me knowing what was going to take place. His expertise was apparent, his personality perfect for the position. And now that I have done business with him I can see why he came so highly regarded.
From first contact to last I always felt I was in good hands.
This interaction I had reminded me of how his business is a lot like mine, and like a lenders, and a home stager and so many more. It may be years between the time we are needed again but when that time comes it sure would be nice if we were the only name our own SOI thought of. Because it sure was nice being the one on the receiving end of this exceptional and expert service for a change.
Exceptional service CAN make you the one and only.
