Annapolis Md Homes and More: Murder On Ghost Tree Island

Murder On Ghost Tree Island

Murder on Ghost Tree Island

Ghost Tree Island

A few months back I received a call from a gentlemen who introduced himself as a detective with the Anne Arundel County Police Dept. He had found this book called Murder on Ghost Tree Island and, being the great Detective he is, decided to do some research into the location of this fictional story. Upon doing so he came across a post I had written back in 2012 . It was about the same island that the Murder on Ghost Tree Island book had been based on back in 1934.

Though long out of print I found a copy of the book on Amazon and have been reading. How interesting to hear them speak of the shoreline and island as they knew it so long ago compared to what I have known in my lifetime and of what I wrote in my blog post.

The detective and I have kept in touch and he has been talking about us doing a modern day story sequel to Murder on Ghost Tree Island. With his detective skills and what he says are my writing skills we could have some fun putting a story together.

And to think this all came about because of a book someone was currently reading and a post I had written all those years ago. You just never know where your writing will take you.

Martha,

What an interesting turn of events based on a post you wrote in 2012.  I love your story, and let us know when the book is written.  Have a great week. A

Awesome, Martha. I'll be first in line to get a copy. I'd love to read the original too.

Hi Mike. It would be fun to do, I think. LOL Never even thought about writing a book before so....

Now that's a neat story of something that came from your blog post.  If you do ever decide to write a novel, mystery or otherwise, I want an autographed copy.
