Annapolis Md Homes and More: 18 Acres of Virgin Soil Just Outside Annapolis

18 Acres of Virgin Soil Just Outside Annapolis

18 Acres of Virgin Soil Just Outside Annapolis

Years ago the story goes that there was this 52 acre property with a beautiful old historic house, barns etc that was a quiet farm just outside Annapolis. One day the the State of Maryland came along and decided they needed to build a highway connecting Annapolis to Baltimore. This farm was right in the way so the land was divided and a highway was built. The part of the land with the home and barn stayed toegther but 18 acres were left on the other side of the highway abandoned and landlocked since the 1980's

Then a beautiful thing happened. The land was no longer landlocked. Over time the owners were granted access using the old railroad bed that ran beside it. Glory days were here again. This beautiful piece of virgin soil now has an opportunity of becoming an awesome homesite for someone looking to be surrounded by trees and natures wonder.

Good morning, Martha Brown do a mailing to every builder/developer in the MD builders association...create a database.... you can google a databases of members names and addresses.... you can google names and addresses of builders in your counties.....do a mailing.... I'm in the process of doing it now...I have 270 names and addresses in a database...my phone will ring and so won't yours....but you want the listings....that's the important result of that mailing....the commission on the land is pennies... focus on the listings of the end product ....

I like the story with the land. It's odd to think of a property being landlocked...who plans these things? Congratulations on a great looking listing! Looks like you have a busy market there? San Diego, CA  is still mostly a seller's market too, despite the rate increase. Best of luck with your listing!

That looks like a rare find.  I bet someone will jump all over this and build something beautiful.

Great story, Martha - I always enjoy learning of the history of an area.  This does sound like a perfect investment opportunity for someone to build their dream home.
